'GM Events'
These events are extremely special as GMs only hold them once every 2 years. With these events you could get extremely rare items varying from nothing to 3 orihalcon ores. It's that ****in' extreme. But there's a catch, you must either get a bunch of lovely coconuts, jump in the most laggiest jump quest ever, have your team not cooperate to roll a simple snowball, or go through a maze of ladders over 90 times until time runs out.

Example:
Wiznizit was in a GM Event. It was pretty neat. The GM MrGooseNest pops up the rules. 5 seconds later, a noob cries 'wut r teh rulez.' MrGooseNest bans him for 'Illegal charging of NXCash.' 1.4 seconds after that, he was asked 50 times 'when we get teh legoland?' MrGooseNest then leaves everyone stranded in the GM Event Map for 4 hours.

Lesson:
The GMs really hate GM Events. I remember once, PatMK was like, JUST ROLL THE SNOWBALL STOP DEFENDING. What lazy GMs.

'Maple Tax'

Wiznizit: So, CherryBone, how can we force the economy down?
CherryBone: Well, in America, they have something called 'taxes.'
Wiznizit: Hmmm...

PatMK: Done and done. It's coded in nicely!
Wiznizit: Dude, why are the rates so high?
PatMK: ...welcome to America.

'Global Theme Park'
This is the special oMS exclusive area, kind of like Jipang in JMS except this oMS area will come out in late 2008. Cody initiated a quest stating that this area would come out. Look at his eyes, do those look like eyes that would lie to you? I think not.

Example:
Wiznizit was doing Cody's Quest. When trying to find Boar Teeth, he found 78 Stiff Feathers, 92 Firewoods and 4 pairs of Weight Earrings before he found 2 Boar Teeth. Then he had to go and stay at Ellinia for 8 hours to try to get enough tree branches. Then he had to buy some steel for only 10k per .5 of an ore. In the end, the quest ended because he only had 999 mesos and couldn't afford 1 meso.

Lesson:
Cody wouldn't lie to you. He's from Wizet.

'd/c'
This stands for disconnection. Usually, the word random is applied before this. The game often enjoys disconnecting you right before you are about to nab that Blue Screamer, or about to finish jumping the Subway or when you finally made it to Mushmom.

Example:
Wiznizit was busily hunting for a nice sweet Nepandeath's honey. He gets disconnected during that. After logging back in, he sees an Assassin who took his spot. He asks for it back, but instead he receives a defame. So he changes channels and after 10 minutes, he finds an empty spot. He gets disconnected again. After getting back on, he hunts one and finds a Honey. He then gets disconncted before he can pick it up and then forgot what channel he was on to get it again.

Lesson:
These random disconnections aren't as random as you think, it's really PatMK at his desk hitting the disconnent button when he feels like it.

Wiznizit: YOU MADE ME LOSE MY HONEY YOU BASTARD.

Wiznizit: Dude, don't make me hurt you.
PatMK: u kno u r a GM, u can make one appear.

'lag'
If I were to name my sister, it would be lag. She's so slow and choppy. Not that it means anything to you. Lag is a term to define when the connection between you and the server is delayed. In Maple Story, you won't pick up items as well, sometimes you can't attack, your HP/MP won't be updated, etc.

Example:
Wiznizit was browsing the Free Market. He saw a nicely scrolled Work Glove for 15 million. He was about to buy it when a huge lag spike hit him. Instead, he bought the nicely scrolled Maple Flag for 14.9 million. But there was good news, the Maple Flag had +5 STR.

Lesson:
First Scania, come Bera then off to Broa then Windia.

PatMK: Mmm...lagggg....
Wiznizit: Seriously, I just lost 15 million because of you.
PatMK: Honestly, I don't know why you keep bothering me.
Wiznizit: You have nice ties with the Head GM, fix it.
PatMK: Well, you're gonna have to do me a favor.
Wiznizit: What?
PatMK: See, my girlfriend left me-
Wiznizit: No.

'Party Quest'
A quest that involves you, and other members, to go on a series of random rooms to end up a bonus stage where you receive items, death threats from the leader and experience. There is one in Kerning City and there is another one in Ludibrium. There are also a few more, but we won't get them until 2009.

Example:
Wiznizit was busy clicking as hard as he could to enter the Party Quest. But at the last minute, one of his members leave unexpectedly and another party got in at the same time. Wiznizit was furious but calmed down and got another member. He had a track this time however. But then they decided to hog the bonus stage. Then they were able to rush past Wiznizit twice. After that, Wiznizit finally got in. However, he got randomly disconnected.

Lesson:

Wiznizit: Why do I even bother?
HeadGM: We must test the party quest for 5 more hours!
Wiznizit: Can't I do it with other GMs?
HeadGM: NO U.

'Corner Kill'
Basically, at the King Slime stage of the Party Quest, there are monsters that drop passes. Kill them in the corner, the pass flies out of the stage and you can't continue the quest. Unless you smuggle some passes in like a drug dealer.

Example:
Wiznizit was leader of the Beta Party Quest. He was busy telling people to kill the Curse Eyes, but everyone went for the Jr. Neckis. Then they corner killed 2 of the Jr. Neckis. No matter, thought Wiznizit as he had 12 smuggled passes. But they he realized, that 1 smuggled pass doesn't equal 12. Therefore, they couldn't continue and Wiznizit was defamed 3 times.

Lesson:
Wiznizit can't count.

Wiznizit: WHY DID YOU MAKE ME PARTY QUEST IN BETA?!
PatMK: I like laughing at you.
Wiznizit: It's CLOSED, how are people STILL PLAYING?
PatMK: oops lol.

'King Slime'
Deliciously huge like Mushmom or the X-Box. It's gonna stomp you into the ground and it'll summon it's foster children to attack you. Yes, King Slime cheated on Mushmom and there was this whole divorse thing, too complicated. It drops the final pass for the Party Quest.

Example:
Wiznizit decided to make a level 21 Warrior and was told to solo King Slime. He hit Slime King once out of every 100 hits for 1 damage. Wiznizit said 'Can I stop, please? I mean, you are all level 30 Wizards!' One of them replied 'wtf i'll die pots plz' Another complained 'y u gota be so lazy man wtf is wrong with u.' Another said 'dud i defam u for being insolentz' Wiznizit then disconnected.

Lesson:
The Maple Community really is this sad. Let's have a moment of silence for it.

Wiznizit: What have we done?
VanillaGirl: Even we are better at English than them.
Wiznizit: Sad but true.

'Tespia'
There is no Tespia. Stop talking as if it exists.

Example:
Wiznizit was busily trying to code in Ossyria when he ran into a problem, he didn't feel like it. So he decided to steal kMS's code and call it 'Official' Maple Story. But he would have to delete everyone on Tespia. He didn't care. He was happy, he got bonus pay that week.

Lesson:
The Ossyria Riot, yeah right.

'Korea'
It's an Asian country, like Japan. This is where Wizet most likely works, I don't really know, I never look outside of a window. Wizet Corp. doesn't even have a window, nor a door. We're stuck in a building 24/7 "working" on updates for all of Maple Story. Korea is not Japan. Nor China. It's a seperate country.

Example:
Wiznizit was busy playing jMS for no reason, when he sees 2 English speakers. One of them says 'man jpan so kewl so much betr than china.' The other says 'man jpan so much kewlier than corea.' The first one replies 'wtf is a corea.' The other says 'i duno lol.'

Lesson:
Korea, China and Japan are seperate countries, with seperate languages, with seperate ways of technology, with seperate names, with seperate versions of Maple Story.
