'Jeti'
A shorted form of the monster Jr. Yeti. It was shorted because typing out Jr. Yeti is way too hard. So hard, people cry when typing out the period when it's not at the end of the sentence. Je. Yetis also drop sought after Dex Crystal Ores and 60% Glove Attack scrolls.

Example:
Wiznizit was talking to his GM buddies, "So I'm gonna go check on reports of vac-hacking on the Jetis map." GMDiddy replied 'jeti? wut u talkin' bout yo. P DIDDY RULEZ.' PatMK replied 'dude, I like stalking girls on this game. i don't know why!' Wiznizit replied 'Oh great, he got away. I totally blame you CherryBone.' VanillaGirl then says 'you better not be cheating on me wizzy with that cherrybone!'

Lesson:
CherryBone? More like Cherry Boner.

'Level 70'
What is so important about level 70? It's when you are able to kill steal even more. It's the 3rd Job Advancement and it makes children cry. Dragon Roar, Holy Symbol, the Magic Rock, you name it.

Example:
Wiznizit was busy testing out the 3rd Job Advancement when suddenly 40 Level 70+ people came out of nowhere. The room was spammed with 'S> DARK CRYSTAL ORE 3 MIL EACH @@@@ @@@@' Then tons of people began spamming skills at El Nath. Soon, the server overloaded and it rollbacked to 9 months ago.

Lesson:
Nemi is a cheap gimmick, kinda like Shumi.

'Mark of the Beta'
This item was only received by the players of Scania who moved from Beta when Official came out. It's special as it has 15 weapon defence and +1 to each main stat. It's so special, every other Maple Story has copied this item and now it's no longer special. At all.

Example:
Wiznizit has released Official Maple Story. Soon he was whispered with 'wut a nub item' 'wtf i go bak 2 beta' 'zomg itz the same' 'loloololololololo.' Wiznizit wonders why he released Official. Wiznizit then decides to take revenge by closing Beta. 'wtf we were promised lotz of exp/items?!' 'wrrrryyyyyyyyy'

Lesson:
Mark of the Beta made over 90% of Beta move to Official. Mission Accomplished!

'The Magic Rock/The Summoning Rock'
These two mystical items are dropped by the most pathetic monsters ever seen. They are used by Mages, Snipers, Rangers and Hermits. They are used to cast spells or summon, hence the name.

Example:
Wiznizit was monitoring the B1 Subway when a Noob Magician comes in. The Noob Magician gets 4 Magic Rocks. He claims 'OMFG I R SO RICH LEIK 3 MIL!!! ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG ZOMG.' Then a Noob Rogue comes in and says 'i buy 4 90k each.' The Magician replies 'no, 3 mil each kk.' The Rogue says 'noob.' The Magician defames the Rogue.

Lesson:
No one uses the Subway anymore. Eat fresh.

'Jump Quests'
Maple Story contains quests that require you to jump difficult obstacles in order to complete such said quest. Even moreso, you may have to do that jump quest many times due to the fact that the quest requires you to obtain a certain amount of a flower.

Example:
Wiznizit is jumping the Subway B3 for Gold. He passes by a Noob Cleric 5 times. The Noob Cleric asks 'how u so good?' Wiznizit replies 'I've practiced a lot.' The Cleric then says 'lol haker' The Cleric then reports Wiznizit. Wiznizit was banned later for 'null.'

Lesson:
If you are a Cleric and you can't jump B3, why even bother getting Heal?

'El Nath'
Begged for in Beta, this place is snowy n' stuff. It's pretty...far away in Ossyria. So far away, the Ice Climbers took 3 years to find it, then 5 more years to climb it. It has some quests and Fizards love this place to death. Yeah, pretty cruddy.

Example:
Wiznizit was just waiting around in Orbis Channel 1 when he observes a level 12 Warrior going down the tower. He watches him climb the Orbis Tower all the way down to floor 7. At floor 7, he dies and gets sent to El Nath. 2 months later at El Nath 1, Wiznizit sees the same Warrior at level 12 spamming 'wtf help plz.'

'The Ellinia Massacre'
Defined as one of Beta's glory days, The Ellinia Massacre, also known to some as 'I Eat Crayons', was an event that would cut my pay...I mean VanillaGirl's pay and would leave lasting affects on Wizet's account creation system.

But before I get too far ahead, let's define even more terms, for laughs.

'DBNull'
During the Beta Gateway split, people were not able to create accounts for this game. When reaching the end you get DBNULL'D and you would not be able to proceed. Also during this time there was the...

'U.S. Lockout'
This happened during the Ellinia Massacre. Many people were not able to play this game as they could not be able to access the game. Apparently, it was found that people who had marked United States on their account form would not be able to play. It's not as if we are racist or anything...

'The Ellinia Massacre'
Back to the story, anyway, mass people began creating accounts. However, a lonely GameFAQs member, probably with no life, tried to create an account 'asdf.' Apparently, it had been already taken and when accessing the account there was no password. Amazingly, it carried 2 Game Master characters, Bandit and Assassin. Another character was created, a level 200 Beginner named beginnerguy. It was released unto the forums of GameFAQs and begins the Ellinia Massacre.

In one of the Game Master characters were many 'Summoning the Boss' and 'Monster Sack 7' items. It was unleashed in various Ellinia Dungeon Trees but mostly on a special channel, one south of Ellinia. Tons of Jr. Balrogs and Mushmoms were unleashed in the area and lasted for around 7 hours until the GameMasters finally stepped in. Wizet's biggest mistake and one of the best times we've ever seen.

The phrases were coined that day by 'Bandit'.

Example:
Wiznizit recalls Beta. He remembers watching, with all the other GMs on how Ellinia was destroyed, watching hundreds of tombstones fall upon the world. Another few experience there, a couple more there and there! A noob picks up a weapon dropped by the Jr. Balrog. And alas, the event ended as one of the FAQers began annihalating everything, and soon all was well.

Lesson:
Wiznizit needs to remember his account names better.

'Gachapon'
Not a cheap ploy by Wizet. Known to be JMS only, it has recently moved onto MapleSEA. Buy a ticket (for a 'cheap' price) and use it on the various Gachapon Machines around Maple Story. Out might pop a Groonhill, or an Apple. Groonhill...apple... tomato...tomahto. No difference.

Example:
Wiznizit was sitting on the benches of Perion when he spots a party of 3 trying out their luck on the Gachapon machine. The first one says "I hope I get something good!" He received a Tree Branch. The second one says "owned u nub. wathc theze mad skiLLz." He received a Red Potion. The third one goes "Better than a Red Potion plz." She gets a Dark Nisrock. The 2nd Noob says "let'z play drop gaim kk?" Minutes later, Wiznizit was banned for 'Drop Game.'

Lesson:
The Gachapon Machine can only harm the economy of this game. But then again, it's be rollbacked next week.

'Guilds'
A 14.5 mil loss of money for a cool nametag + icon. Unfortunately, with that power comes great responsibility. You can't keep track of all your members. Some may give themselves up to other guilds. Rival guilds. Guilds that make you want to reach through the internets and choke them to death. Guilds, that if you harness all that anger, you'd be able to make a Blue Snail spawn at Drake's Meal Table. Even moreso, these guilds start wars and start drama. And so...

'Drama'
Drama is a word that is used to describe, normally, tension between people/groups/etc. It escalates into people being KSing/Defaming/Reporting each other and name calling and swearing and all sorts of trouble. But in the end, internet ties are broken and people forget the other. Drama is hilarious.

'Guilds'
Guild Wars start up often. Acts of meaningless KSing and etc. betwee the guilds until it all blows over. Welcome to the internet.

Example:
Wiznizit was part of a guild named Weebl. The Weebl guild was an awesome guild with nice people. There was a bad seed however and he caused trouble. Soon, every single guild EVER started to KS each other. This lasted for 7 days...and 7 nights. Soon, 15 people quit, 4 hanged themselves and 9 of them decided to keep KSing. Eventually, too many people were attacking in one map, brought down the entire server, and rolled it back 5 months back. It all started because someone dropped 10 mesos and someone looted it.

'Zakum'
Welcome to hell and back again. It is known in Maple Story as Zakum. Zakum would be the monster of your cheaply produced hentai. It's got 8 seperate arms and they are all ready to rape. Each with a special purpose. And even if you defeat all the arms, you still have the main body of Zakum to defeat. There are 3 parts to it. And don't let the level 50 requirement fool you.

Example:
Wiznizit was about to enter Zakum with his other Mapling pals when suddenly 4 other parties showed up of freshly new 3rd Job Advancers. 3rd Jobber 1 says 'lol we gonna ttly kill dis.' 3rd Jobber 2 says 'i hop i get leik 6 levelz leik in tat pictor.' 3rd Jobber 3 says 'man, i hop we get leik 15 diff weapnz, so 1337.' Wiznizit corrects them by saying 'You first need to be around level 110ish to take Zakum one. Second, those experience rates were times 60. Third, you probably will only get 2 or 3 weapons.' The 3rd Job Advancers all went in. 4 minutes later, Wiznizit watched as they all died.
